Bad Dog Customs

logo + brand creation Bad Dog Customs restores and maintains hot rod automobiles, including paint and body work. They needed a logo that would look great on the back glass of ever car that darkened their garage doors. Bob Arlen, owner of Bad Dog Customs, got to telling me about his usual day at his shop and kept mentioning his little Jack Russell Terrier that goes everywhere with him. "She's my little mascot," he declared. So when I began my drawings, I couldn't help but include her in the logo. Now she's anything but a bad dog, but she is a bad ass one. I completed their logo with the play on words by giving her the keys and their tag line, "Wanna ride?." I also included their service location with a dual pinstripe design that is ever present on these classic cars. Now when a previous customer is showing off their hot rod around town, potential customers can see who created that sweet ride and where that custom work was done.
